Have you ever had one of those days when you feel like you’ve got it all together and then something happens that triggers all your fears, anxieties and dread?

I hate days like that and am happy to say that I have grown past them. Well, I’m not completely over them; thanks to this book I’m reading, I’m learning that I do not have to give in to that voice of fear.

There is a statement in this book that says “do not allow the devil to interview you.” He started long ago in the garden when he asked Eve the question “Did God really say not to eat from that tree?” Instead of Eve combating the devil with the words “God said”, she allowed herself to think about the question. In other words, she allowed the devil to interview her.

I love that visual. I can imagine myself on some talk show and the devil is the host. He starts bombarding me with all kinds of questions that frustrate me and that I don’t want to answer. Instead of allowing my emotions to get out-of-control, I ask myself three things.

WHAT IF
THAT WOULD
GOD WILL

In this book Crash The Chatterbox, when you start to feel pummeled by the enemy, you must train yourself to consciously work through these three scenarios:

What if the most horrible thing happened to me today? …(insert horrible event hereā€¦)

That would suck. I would be hurt and in pain.

God will deliver me. He uses everything the devil meant for harm and turns it into something good.

When you’re having a bad day and you feel completely defeated, don’t let your fear put you in the hot seat next to the interview host who is the devil.

Train yourself to rise above what Eve did in the garden.

God really does have an answer for everything and we must be ready with that answer when asked for an interview.
